How do I become a Plogger?
No special gear or flight points. Just the basics:
- Choose a location that resonates with you: close to your work, a scenic park, a convenient car park, or even along your commute.
- Dress for the weather and bring:
- glover or litter grabbers
- a trash bag or a waste container
- reflector (if needed)
- water bottle and snacks.
- Pick up trash, clean up the surroundings
- Share your experience and findings.
Nothing ignites a sense of community like a shared goal for a cleaner world. The power of plogging lies in its diversity and community.
By walking or jogging, you can add stretching and squatting to your fitness routine. By kayaking and rowing, you can find great places to land, while also looking out for litter on the waters and beaches. And best of all, by moving around in nature, you reduce the amount of litter, especially plastic, that ends up in our waterways, other parts of our nature, and the air we breathe.
And hey, style is free. As long as we get rid of the trash in our environment!
We have heard people finding wheelchairs and fishing gear – what will you discover?
